Glaceon Pattern

This weekend I managed to do the last of my eeveelution patterns, glaceon.  I still have umbreon to do eevelution wise, but Wolfdreamer already has an awesome pattern for him.

Glaceon is a bit complicated due to all the diamonds. There’s a couple pieces where you’ll end off with collar in a diamond shape, then connect with another color and continue on.  My best advice is to just go with it, even if it takes you a couple times to get it right, that’s how I got through it.

I didn’t really use a pose for glaceon, since I couldn’t find one I really liked.  But I did like the swooshy look of the tail, so I used a pipe cleaner to achieve the look.

I used RedHeart Super Saver Yarn.  The light blue color is ‘Sky Blue’, the medium blue color is ‘Blue’, and darker blue ‘Windsor Blue’.  For the eyes and ears, I used a medium blue color felt and a size G hook.

I have no issues with people using my pattern, as long as they don’t make a profit off the pattern, or piplup. Also, please don’t copy the pattern when putting it on other websites, just paste the link to the original pattern.

Pictured above is the light blue section being connected to the dark blue section of the leg.

Attach the legs and tail to the body how you want. Center the diamonds on the head, with the left and right under the center one, making sure to attach the ear flaps under the diamonds before permantly attaching them.  Attach ears on head as shown.  Attach big diamond on back of the body as shown, and attach small diamond to body and head as shown.  Make sure to attach head to body in addition to the diamond. Add eyes and inner ears with felt.

  1. *GASP!* O.MI.GOSH! Glaceon is my FAV Eeveelution and I can’t believe you nailed it!!!!! Can’t wait to make my whole Eevee team!!!! Thanks so much for the AMAZING patterns you make!

  2. It’s nice to hear that you think I nailed glaceon. I put a lot of time into getting the diamond shapes to look right, so it’s nice to know that it paid off. As for the patterns, you’re welcome. Good luck on your Eevee team, and let me know if you run into any issues.

    • I didn’t get it anywhere special, just Walmart. Most of my yarn either was either bought there or Hobby Lobby. If you can’t find the specific yarn, try finding a similar color in another brand. Also, it doesn’t have to be the exact same as mine, as long as you’re happy with it. I hope this helps and good luck!

      • Yeah.. I kinda sorta maybe accidentally grabbed Light Blue and I KNOW I’ve seen it somewhere before. But for some reason even on the redheart website it doesn’t have Sky Blue. @-@ I’ll figure it out.

      • Weird… I know from previous experience when trying to find yarn, websites like Red Heart’s and Walmart’s can be confusing and not always the most accurate, and sometimes going in person and looking around is actually the best thing to do. Also, like I said earlier, you don’t have to have that exact yarn, others that are close in color can work just as well.

    • I actually have the color right now. Red Heart went and changed the names of some of their yarns a year or so ago and now people get really confused. The color I have is called Light Blue. I’m going to use this color for Glaceon, and it looks as close as you can get to the color in the video games and anime.
